Cheap Fathers Day Gifts

So let’s just assume that you are going to wait until the last minute to get something for Father’s Day. One thing is for sure, getting something is much better than not getting anything at all. So, if you have to resort towards getting cheap Fathers Day gifts, then you can actually make the best of it and be creative.

What comes around goes around. A few years back, I actually forgot about Mother’s Day. I about wanted to just stick my head under a car tire. I felt terrible. At any rate, I think I did very good. At the last minute prior to my wife getting home from work, I raced to Wal-mart and put together a very nice gift basket.

I themed it out all in pink. I rushed up and down the aisles looking for anything pink in color that would be of interest to my wife. Amazingly I was able to pick up quite a few items, all pink in color mind you. I quickly raced to get a pink card and wrote a special message in the card while I was driving home. Very dangerous, you should factor in about 30 seconds in the driveway or on the side of the road for this.

Anyway, when I got home about 5 minutes before she did and had time to set everyone up on the table and she absolutely loved it. Total cost was about $50 bucks. Included in the basket was a pink pair of slippers, a pink heart shaped pillow, Pink box of candy, Pink teddy bear and many various pink cosmetic accessories like face creams and things like that. Also found a pink set of heart shaped ear rings.

I had an extra moment in the store as I passed the fabric section to pick up some pink colored fabrics and grasses and was able to even decorate the basket and use the fabric to tie a bow tie on it.

The point being is this, even if you forgot about Father’s Day or remember at the last minute, you can always pull together some very nice cheap Fathers Day gifts as I did for Mother’s Day a few years back.
